What Are Side Effects Of The Ortho Evra Patch?
There are several side effects encountered with the use of ortho evra patch and women have to make adjustment while using it. Some of the side effects are: bleeding from the vagina occurring between two periods, tenderness of breast, nausea and feeling of vomiting. But most of the symptoms will go away within two to three. The hormone present in the ortho evra patch can lead to change in the sexual desire of the women which is a long lasting side effect.
The women can also experience irritation or itching or reaction when the ortho evra patch is used. After the usage of patch is completed, women may feel irregular periods or absent of periods for some duration of time. It may also lead to heart stroke, clotting of blood in the arms and legs, clot formation in heart, lungs and brain. It is found that women using patch are at greater risk of blood clot as compared to the women who are using birth control pills.
High blood pressure, gallbladder disease, development of jaundice, tumors formation in the liver are some other side effects that are associated with the use of ortho evra patch. Some women may also feel signs of formation of lump in the breast or severe headache.
