Who should not consider the Ortho Evra patch?

Although the Ortho evra patch is effective measure to prevent pregnancy, it should be administered well, especially if you have been prescribed with some drugs which interfere with the functioning of the Ortho Evra patch. It tends to reduce the effectiveness of the patch and increase the pregnancy risk.

Women with various medical conditions are advised not to use the Ortho Evra patch. Women having history of heart attacks, stroke should avoid the Ortho Evra patch. Also women having chest pain, blood clots problems should avoid the patch. If a women is having severe vaginal bleeding due to no reason should restrain her from using the patch. People with cancer should strictly avoid the Ortho Evra patch. A woman shouldn’t use the patch during pregnancy as these can cause several problems. Also one should avoid the patch if they are treated for HIV or aids.

One should find out if they are allergic to the patch and accordingly use it. Also women with liver conditions, hepatitis, or any kind of liver disease should avoid the patch. Also one might not be able or shouldn’t use the patch if they have gall bladder disease, history of depression, any kidney disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels in the body.
