How does Lybrel work?

Lybrel is approved by US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an effective birth control method. More than 300 million women word wide are using this drug to prevent unwanted pregnancy and get relief from painful monthly period. This drug is taken in 28 days pack and is capable of injecting inject low levels of sex hormones like estrogen and progesterone into your body daily.

 These hormones change the lining of the uterus and alter cervical mucus. Hence, uterus does not respond to the changes essential for initiation of monthly period.
