How safe is the IUD to use?
IUD is one of the safest birth control methods. The IUD is placed in the uterus in order to avert pregnancy. The IUD is preferred by most women who are seeking for some non hormonal methods to avert pregnancy.
They are to be inserted only after conducting few tests, if any of tests gives a negative result, the problem is to be addressed first and then the IUD is to be used as measure to prevent ovulation. Pregnancy, breast examining, checking for STI, mostly full medical test are some of the test to be conducted before the insertion. One should strictly follow this test before the insertion of the IUD as this can cause severe problems. These tests make you sure that you are safe to use the IUD’s. The IDU consist of strings which are considered the safeness factor of the IDU.
Most women should check these strings from time to time to check whether they are fine. One can check it by touching it through the vagina. One should use hygienic measure before touching those strings. Try feeling those strings; if you find them same as they were previously the process is safe and effective. If you might even minute change in the strings you should get alert and try replacing the IDU with a new one. Alternate methods to check it would be using mirror or flashlight. A string missing is considered unsafe and the IDU need to be replaced.
